News Major new EURDEP release
7/27/2012 3:38:00 PM

On Thursday 26 July 2012 a major new EURDEP version was released. The major changes are: - Various bugs were corrected; - An improved AIRDOS interface (a next release is expected within 2 weeks) - Improved user-management functionality (not visible for 'normal' users) - A completely new AG-parsing and Email interface. The new parser is much more accurate, consumes less memory and is about 10 times faster than the previous version. Significantly better and more detailed error messages will therefore in future be (automatically) sent to the data-provider in case of errors in the EURDEP file. - Separate delay possibility on the public map for group 1 (Gammadose) and group 2 (all other Sample Types). Until the data-providers update these delays, the delay for group-1 and group-2 will initially be the same. - On the private Site the user now also has the possibility to see a regular grid of interpolated data instead of the measurement points. The interpolation has been done using the INTAMAP technology (http://www.intamap.org/). The current implementation is merely meant to collect feedback from the users. NB: because of the need to make changes to the database structure for this new release, some data was reset that could cause a single incorrect "no-data" message, we apologize for the inconvenience.

News Swedish SAMÖ-KKÖ 2011 Exercise: EURDEP transmission statistics are available
2/7/2011 11:27:00 AM

Dear EURDEP user, please note that the EURDEP transmission statistics are now available on the restricted web-site under "Download / EURDEP / Exercises". The green cells indicate the hours in which we could download one or more files, the red cells are the hours when there was no data made available from your national network. Each cell also contains a number indicating the number of files that were transferred from your ftp-server to our EURDEP system. If there is a large number of files transferred, it indicates a problem that the date/time stamp of the national file is 'renewed' even if the file contains no new data. Also note that the precision of the statistics is low, because we pull every 15 minutes and our pulling may not coincide with the time in which new files are created on the national ftp-server. Comments are welcome on eurdep-comments@jrc.ec.europa.eu. We will contact the countries that did not participate to the exercise.
